Azerbaijan's exports to Russia increased by 3% year-on-year to $608.6 million, while imports from Russia fell 42% to $1.12 billion, according to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee.


The data showed trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia totalled $1.73 billion in the first half of 2026, down 31.4% from the same period a year earlier, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.


Russia accounted for around 7% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade during the January–June period.


Azerbaijan's total foreign trade reached $24.66 billion in the first six months of the year, up 1.1% year-on-year.


Exports rose 26.7% to $16.32 billion, while imports declined 27.6% to $8.34 billion. As a result, the country's trade surplus increased nearly sixfold to $7.98 billion.
