Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United States totalled $467.2 million in the first half of 2026, according to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee.
The agency said bilateral trade declined 21.3% compared with the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Trade with the United States accounted for 1.9% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade during the reporting period.
Overall, Azerbaijan's foreign trade reached $24.661 billion in January-June, up 1.1% year on year.
Exports totalled $16.320 billion, while imports amounted to $8.341 billion. Compared with the same period a year earlier, exports increased 26.7%, while imports fell 27.6%.
As a result, Azerbaijan recorded a trade surplus of $7.979 billion, nearly six times higher than a year earlier.
