One of Iran’s key conditions for negotiations with the United States is a complete halt to attacks on Lebanon, according to Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Nikzad.

He stated that Iran’s condition for any negotiations is the clear guarantee of a full cessation of aggression against Lebanon, Iranian media reports.

"The Iranian front and the front of southern Lebanon are one, and we do not accept their separation," the Iranian official added.

Nikzad noted that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz was carried out to ensure peace and security for the Lebanese people.

He also stressed that control over the Strait of Hormuz is a “right and red line” for Iran, adding that Tehran intends to reach an agreement on the issue with regional countries.
