Armenia and Bulgaria have signed a joint declaration establishing a strategic partnership, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on social media.
The document was signed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Bulgarian President Iliana Iotova during the latter’s visit to Yerevan for the 8th summit of the European Political Community (EPC).
“With Bulgaria’s President Iliana Iotova, we signed Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership, elevating our cooperation to new level,” Pashinyan wrote.
The 8th EPC summit will take place in the Armenian capital on May 4. The first meeting of the European Political Community was held in Prague on October 6, 2022, followed by summits in Chișinău, Granada, Oxfordshire, Budapest, Tirana, and Copenhagen.
The EPC brings together leaders from around 50 European countries and serves as a platform for political dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest, aiming to strengthen security, stability, and prosperity across the continent.
