The visit of US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires in Baku Amy Carlon to Aghdam and Fuzuli underscores the growing cooperation between the United States and Azerbaijan, according to a post on the embassy’s X social media page.
“Her visit this week to both Aghdam and Fuzuli underscores growing U.S.-Azerbaijan cooperation since President Aliyev and Vice President Vance signed the Charter on Strategic Partnership in February, and our shared commitment to advancing peace, stability, and long-term recovery in the South Caucasus region,” the statement said.
Carlon visited Aghdam and Fuzuli as part of a broader trip to Karabakh and East Zangezur by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan.
