Georgian police have detained a Turkish citizen wanted under an Interpol Red Notice, authorities have stated.


He was detained in Batumi and is currently in custody, Caliber.Az reports, citing Sputnik Georgia.


The man was sought in his home country over charges of causing serious bodily harm and murder.


He is expected to be extradited to Türkiye following legal procedures.


The arrest was made in coordination with international law enforcement mechanisms linked to Interpol.
