The ISIS group has claimed responsibility for the killing of a Syrian army serviceman in Syria’s northern Aleppo province, marking its third operation in the region over the past month.
Earlier, in early April, ISIS militants attacked a security guard at an oil facility east of Deir ez-Zor, as well as a senior official from Syria’s Ministry of Defence in the same province, according to Syrian media.
The reported escalation suggests a possible increase in the group’s activity in certain areas of the country.
