South Korean engineering and construction group Samsung C&T has expressed interest in examining the investment potential of Kyrgyzstan, according to the country’s National Investment Agency.


The discussions took place during a meeting between the head of the National Agency for Investments under the President of Kyrgyzstan, Ravshanbek Sabirov, and representatives of the company, Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media.


Both sides reviewed potential participation by Samsung C&T in infrastructure development projects and the expansion of public–private partnerships in Kyrgyzstan.


Sabirov highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the country’s investment climate, including regulatory reforms and measures aimed at creating more favourable conditions for foreign investors.


Representatives of Samsung C&T, in turn, reportedly voiced interest in further assessing Kyrgyzstan’s investment landscape and exploring possible joint initiatives.


The meeting concluded with an agreement to maintain dialogue on future cooperation opportunities.
