European Union will not disburse the first funds from a previously Hungary-blocked tranche to Ukraine before July at the earliest.
A European Commission representative said the executive branch has revised the schedule for the initial disbursements under a €90 billion financing package for Kyiv, pushing them into the second half of 2026, Caliber.Az reports, citing Politika Strany.
The report added that the European Commission and Ukraine expect that, following the election victory of Péter Magyar, Hungary may lift its veto on the loan.
