Former US Secretary of State and ex–First Lady Hillary Clinton has criticised President Donald Trump over his social media posts and his approach to negotiations with Iran.

Speaking on MS Now, Clinton said Trump should be held accountable not only for his actions but also for his words.

“Words, especially from an American president, have real consequences. And when you look at the last week of unhinged rants coming from Trump’s social media account, it’s just disgraceful,” she said.

She also noted that Trump and Vice President JD Vance frequently speak about Western civilisation, but likely have not taken any courses on the subject.

She added that Western civilisation has real historical meaning, and that the United States itself is a product of its development.

“It is about how we hold leaders accountable so they don’t become autocrats and dictators, and how they don’t lead us into reckless wars and really unhinged attacks on the first American pope,” Clinton said.
