US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s naval forces have suffered extensive losses and warned that any vessels approaching a US-declared maritime blockade would face immediate military action.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump alleged that Iran’s navy had been “completely obliterated,” claiming that 158 ships had been destroyed. He added that only a small number of Iranian fast attack vessels remained, which he said were not considered a significant threat, Caliber.Az reports.

"Warning: If any of these ships come anywhere close to our BLOCKADE, they will be immediately ELIMINATED, using the same system of kill that we use against the drug dealers on boats at Sea. It is quick and brutal. P.S. 98.2% of Drugs coming into the U.S. by Ocean or Sea have STOPPED!" he warned.
