US President Donald Trump has stated that most issues were agreed between US and Iranian delegations during talks in Islamabad, but the nuclear issue remains unresolved.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump noted that the meeting “went well” and that most problems were settled, but the only truly important issue — nuclear — was left without agreement.
He added that the negotiations lasted around “20 hours” and that the outcomes achieved were better than continuing military operations, but argued that these results ultimately carry no weight due to Iran’s alleged nuclear ambitions.
“I could go into great detail, and talk about much that has been gotten but, there is only one thing that matters — IRAN IS UNWILLING TO GIVE UP ITS NUCLEAR AMBITIONS!” Trump highlighted.
