Iran has warned that it will respond militarily if Israel does not halt its ongoing airstrikes in Lebanon, according to a statement released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The IRGC issued a stern warning to the United States and Israel, accusing them of continued aggression in the region. The statement said that if attacks on Lebanon are not immediately stopped, Iran would “fulfill its duty” by delivering a strong response, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.

The IRGC also said that Israeli strikes in Beirut amounted to a “massacre,” noting that the attacks occurred only hours after a ceasefire agreement had taken effect.

Additionally, the Iranian military accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilians, including women and children.
