DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, April 2. Political
consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the
Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of India were held in
Dushanbe on April 1, 2026, Trend reports via the Tajik MFA.


Throughout the discussions, the parties shared insights on the
potential for enhancing bilateral relations.


Particular attention was paid to strengthening political
dialogue, enhancing economic and trade relations, attracting
investment, and developing cooperation in science and education, as
well as in culture.


The sides also discussed issues of multilateral cooperation,
including within the framework of the “Central Asia–India”
dialogue, as well as in international and regional organizations,
and expressed readiness to continue constructive cooperation within
these platforms.







In the meantime, Tajikistan and India continue to have
historically cordial ties, which are supported by frequent
political discussions and expanding collaboration in a number of
areas.


In terms of trade and economic cooperation, humanitarian and
cultural exchanges, and security connections, bilateral involvement
has been gradually growing.
