BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. The deadline for the
Urban Expo applications at the Thirteenth Session of the World
Urban Forum (WUF13), taking place in Baku from 17 to 22 May 2026,
has been extended due to strong interest from potential exhibitors.
The new deadline for submitting applications is set to 10 April
2026, Trend
reports.


The exhibition, expected to attract tens of thousands of
visitors worldwide, will provide an important platform for
showcasing innovative solutions in sustainable urban
development.


At the Baku Olympic Stadium, the main venue of WUF13, the
exhibition spans 35,000 square metres and will welcome participants
from a wide range of stakeholders, including national and local
governments, regional bodies, UN agencies, academic institutions,
international financial institutions, civil society organisations,
foundations, and private companies.


Exhibition spaces will be available in a range of formats, from
smaller exhibition stands to large-scale national and city
pavilions. The Urban Expo will bring together global participants
around priority themes such as adequate housing, climate
resilience, digital innovation, and inclusive urban development,
showcasing tangible and innovative solutions to the most pressing
challenges facing modern cities.







Several new initiatives will also be introduced for the first
time as part of WUF13, including the Startup Pavilion for emerging
ventures advancing innovative housing and urban solutions, and the
WUF Academy, which will offer masterclasses and facilitate
knowledge exchange.
