Azerbaijan’s recent strides in education reforms have been highlighted in UNESCO’s 2026 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report, which focuses on accessibility and equality.

The report notes that, over a five-year period, Azerbaijan has dramatically expanded access to preschool education for 5-year-old children, increasing enrollment from 25% to 92%, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

These improvements have been achieved through comprehensive reforms in legislation, teacher training programs, and curriculum development.
