TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 14. Uzbekistan’s
Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov and Kyrgyzstan’s
Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev discussed the current
state of bilateral relations and concrete ways to further
strengthen them, the country's FM wrote on his X page, Trend reports.
“During the discussion, we exchanged views on the agenda of
upcoming bilateral and multilateral events, reviewed the current
state of our relations, and explored concrete ways to further
strengthen and facilitate the Uzbek–Kyrgyz strategic partnership,”
Saidov wrote.
He also reaffirmed the shared commitment of both sides to
advancing cooperation in a constructive and forward-looking
manner.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with Kyrgyzstan amounted
to $903.7 million from January through November 2025, marking an
increase of 22.6 % compared to the same period of 2024 ($737.2
million).
