Flights operated by Iranian airlines to Azerbaijan will be suspended from September 22 due to a new package of US sanctions targeting Iran’s aviation sector.
The decision was made in response to the latest US restrictions imposed on Iran, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“AZAL was forced to make the decision to suspend, starting September 22, flights operated by Iranian airlines to Azerbaijan due to the new package of US sanctions against Iran, especially sanctions targeting the aviation sector,” the airline said in a statement.
