Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has highlighted the role of its police officers and Internal Troops in the 2020 war and the September 2023 anti-terror operation in Karabakh.
The 44-day Patriotic War in autumn 2020 and the local anti-terror operation in September 2023 were described as important stages in the process that ended with the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and state sovereignty.
The ministry’s press service told Caliber.Az that servicemen of the Internal Troops and police officers had carried out their assigned tasks with professionalism, courage and self-sacrifice during the fighting.
It said the heroism of those killed and the bravery of the soldiers had been written in "golden letters" in the history of Azerbaijan’s Great Victory.
