An Armenian court has extended the detention of former Member of Parliament Martun Grigoryan for another three months.

The opposition politician was detained on 13 August and is being investigated in a case involving alleged vote-buying, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

Grigoryan took part in the June parliamentary elections on the Prosperous Armenia party list.

Two weeks before the elections, searches were conducted at Grigoryan’s home and party offices in Gyumri.

His son was also arrested at the end of June.
