The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has said it eliminated Hamas military wing member Sharif Shadi Ibrahim Labad in a strike in the northern Gaza Strip on September 15.
According to the IDF, Labad was a Nukhba terrorist who infiltrated the Erez Crossing during the October 7 massacre, Caliber.Az reports.
The IDF also stated that in a separate strike on September 14, its forces eliminated Yusuf Saad Al-Din Rashad Zaim, described as a Nukhba commander in Hamas’ military wing.
The military noted that the two men had recently advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians while working to restore Hamas’ operational capabilities, which it described as systematic violations of the ceasefire.
The Israeli Army further stressed that the strikes were carried out to remove what it described as an immediate threat posed by the two terrorists.
It added that measures had been taken ahead of the strikes to reduce the risk of harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
According to the IDF, troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue operations aimed at removing any immediate threat.
The IDF also released a photograph it said showed Labad at the Erez Crossing during the October 7 massacre.
