Armenian company Jermuk Group has regained the rights to the Jermuk trademark in China, clearing the way for the mineral water brand to enter the Chinese market.
The Jermuk trademark has been re-registered in China under the name of Jermuk Group, Ruzanna Malkhasyan, head of the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s department for the development of Armenian-Chinese trade and economic relations, said.
The trademark had previously been registered in China to Beijing Borjomi, which, according to Malkhasyan, had prevented the Armenian water brand from entering the Chinese market.
The registration was challenged, after which the rights to the Jermuk trademark were successfully returned to its owner.
