Israel’s Shin Bet security service and police have arrested 19-year-old Kafr Qasim resident Mustafa Issa on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack.
According to the investigation, Issa decided to plan an attack under the influence of events surrounding the May 2021 Operation Guardian of the Walls and the October 7, 2023, attacks. Training equipment and an airsoft weapon were found in his possession when he was arrested.
During questioning, investigators found that Issa had searched online for instructions on combat tactics and the manufacture of explosive devices, and had also attempted to make such devices himself.
Following the completion of the investigation, the prosecution announced its intention to indict him.
