Power outages have been reported in Ukraine’s Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions following damage to energy infrastructure, national grid operator Ukrenergo said on Friday, September 4.
The company did not provide figures for the number of consumers affected.
Ukraine has faced persistent electricity supply problems since late last year following extensive damage to its energy infrastructure. A state of emergency was declared in the country’s energy sector, while many regions continue to impose daily electricity restrictions lasting several hours.
Power outages were also reported in three Ukrainian regions in a separate incident attributed to damage to energy infrastructure.
