Poland has no plans to purchase F-15EX fighter jets from the United States, the country’s Defence Ministry has said.
The ministry told Defence24 that the Polish Armed Forces were not planning to acquire the aircraft, stressing that Poland’s inclusion in a US framework contract for the F-15 programme did not mean Warsaw had decided to buy the jets or begun a procurement process.
Poland was listed among potential F-15 customers in a Pentagon statement issued on 24 August concerning a framework agreement with Boeing covering the supply and servicing of the aircraft.
The Polish ministry’s clarification effectively rules out any immediate F-15EX procurement plans, despite the country being named in the US announcement.
