Iran has begun deploying additional troops, weapons and military equipment to the tri-border area where Iran, Iraq and Kuwait converge, Iranian media reports.
The reports said the redeployment of personnel and military hardware is ongoing, indicating an increased military presence in the strategically significant border region.
Iranian media did not specify the reason for the deployment, and Iranian authorities have not publicly commented on the purpose of the troop movements.
