BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. President of the
Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved the law on
amendments to the Customs Code.
The document text has been published on the official website of
the President of Azerbaijan.
According to the amendment, a certificate of conformity, a
declaration of conformity, and documents of conformity of
recognized foreign origin drawn up in accordance with the law "On
technical regulation" for imported goods for which technical
regulations and referenced standards have been adopted must be
submitted to customs authorities and checked during customs
clearance.
The aforementioned requirements will apply to imported goods
only 2 years after the entry into force of both the relevant
technical regulations and referenced standards.
President Ilham Aliyev also signed a decree on the application of amendments to the Customs
Code. According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers must
prepare proposals on the amounts of additional fees, compensations,
allowances, and other payments related to the material and social
security of customs officials and submit them to the President of
Azerbaijan within 6 months.
