Türkiye's General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a “yellow” weather warning for 11 provinces in the Marmara and North Aegean regions due to forecast strong winds and storm conditions.
Forecasters expect a significant strengthening of northerly and northeasterly winds across western Türkiye, with gusts reaching 50–80 km/h, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
The warning covers the provinces of Balıkesir, Bursa, Çanakkale, Edirne, Istanbul, İzmir, Kırklareli, Kocaeli, Tekirdağ and Yalova.
Authorities urged residents to exercise caution and take the necessary precautions in advance.
