India has invited Russia to participate in the upcoming BRICS summit, scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 12–13, TASS reports, citing a source in the South Asian country's government.
India holds the BRICS presidency this year, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"An invitation to the BRICS summit has been sent to Russia," the source said.
The 18th BRICS summit will be held under the theme: Strengthening Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainable Development.
