Azerbaijan exported more than $1 billion worth of goods to Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries during the first six months of 2026, according to figures released by the State Customs Committee.
Exports to the CIS totalled $1.014 billion between January and June, up 18.2% year on year, an increase of $155.9 million compared with the same period in 2025, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $1.694 billion from CIS countries during the reporting period, a 44% decline from a year earlier, equivalent to a decrease of $1.331 billion.
According to the committee, exports to CIS countries accounted for 6.21% of Azerbaijan's total exports in the first half of the year, while imports from the bloc represented 20.31% of the country's total imports.
