Somalia’s national army, supported by international partners, has killed around 30 militants from the terrorist group Al-Shabaab in the Middle Shabelle region, according to the Hiiraan news portal, citing the country’s Ministry of Defence.
The operations were carried out on June 24 and 25. According to the report, militant positions were destroyed along with two vehicles, three motorcycles, weapons, ammunition, and other military equipment belonging to the group.
Separately, Somalia’s Ministry of Defence said on X that the latest operations in Middle Shabelle resulted in the deaths of three senior Al-Shabaab leaders, as well as several other militants.
