President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has approved a protocol amending the December  9, 1994, CIS agreement on the procedure for investigating workplace accidents involving employees working outside their country of residence.


The protocol was signed on June 5, 2025, at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Dushanbe.


According to information published on the official website of the Azerbaijani President, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population has been instructed to ensure the implementation of the protocol’s provisions once it enters into force.


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with notifying the CIS Executive Committee that the domestic procedures required for the protocol’s entry into force have been completed.
