President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order recalling Huseyn Guliyev from his position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Huseyn Guliyev served as Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan from late 2012 until mid-2026.
On June 22, 2026, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received him on the occasion of concluding his diplomatic mission, highly commending his contributions to strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries, and awarded him the Mehnat Shuhrati (Glory of Labour) Order.
