A total of 99 billion cubic metres of natural gas has been supplied to Türkiye and European markets via the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) since 2018.
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar shared the figures on social media, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He noted that 39.2 billion cubic metres of gas have been delivered directly to Türkiye from Azerbaijan through TANAP over the past eight years.
Bayraktar described cooperation between Ankara and Baku as “a contribution to the stability and future of the region.”
“TANAP is a symbol of the brotherhood between Türkiye and Azerbaijan and the foundation of the Southern Gas Corridor. This mega-project, which is celebrating its eighth anniversary, remains a key guarantor of energy security not only for Türkiye but also for Europe. Cooperation between Ankara and Baku, based on the saying ‘One nation, two states,’ will continue to make a significant contribution to cooperation and the shared future of the entire region,” the minister said.
