Iran’s parliamentary National Security Commission member Ali Khodrian has warned that countries cooperating with the United States could face further action, following an attack on Jordan that Tehran-linked commentary has described as part of a wider regional escalation.
He said the infrastructure of Jordan had come under what he called “punishment of the source of aggression,” adding that the country had not previously been struck “with this intensity” during the conflict, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
“This punishment will also apply to other countries,” he added.
Khodrian also commented on tensions between Tehran and Washington, claiming that US President Donald Trump was seeking to “exit the war with dignity” and may either escalate military action or attempt to pressure Iran into concessions in negotiations.
He said Washington’s approach was aimed at shifting the balance ahead of any potential diplomatic process.
In a separate remark, Khodrian asserted that US forces had failed to penetrate Iran’s air defences despite what he described as “modern and integrated” systems.
