Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held separate telephone conversations with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan to discuss the latest regional developments following recent US strikes in southern Iran.

According to Iran's Foreign Ministry, the talks focused on the security situation in the region and the implications of the US military actions, Caliber.Az reports.

During the conversations, Araghchi condemned the strikes, describing them as an act of "military aggression" and a violation of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Iranian foreign minister also reiterated Tehran's position that it has the legitimate right to self-defence in response to external attacks. He stressed that any retaliatory measures taken by Iran's armed forces would be based on that principle.
