An earthquake with a magnitude of 5 struck near the city of Sargaz in southern Iran early on Tuesday, according to Iranian media reports cited by Iran International.
The earthquake occurred in Hormozgan Province, with its epicentre located at a depth of 22 kilometres.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the tremor, according to the reports.
