Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held talks with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in New York, focusing on diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace in the Middle East.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, as cited by Caliber.Az, the meeting took place on Wednesday and covered a broad range of regional and international issues.
"The two leaders discussed regional developments, including Pakistan's efforts in promoting dialogue and diplomacy for lasting peace and stability in Middle East region.
The also exchanged views on a range of important issues including UN Security Council reform, Jammu and Kashmir dispute, Afghanistan, and Palestine. Secretary-General Guterres highly appreciated Pakistan's active engagement and contributions to international peace and security, and UN’s broad agenda," the report says.
