Iran’s Defence Ministry spokesperson Reza Talaei-Nik has said that US President Donald Trump has “no choice” but to accept Tehran’s demands and recognise what he described as Iran’s rights, warning that continued refusal would lead to additional consequences.
“Trump has no choice but to accept the demands of the Iranian people and recognise our country’s rights,” Talaei-Nik said, Iran International reports.
He added that meeting Iran’s demands through both diplomatic and military means was, in his view, the only way forward for what he referred to as the “American-Zionist enemy” in the ongoing tensions.
“If the enemy does not submit to the rightful demands of the Iranian people, it will impose more costs and further consecutive defeats on Trump and the Zionist enemy,” he said.
Talaei-Nik also accused Trump of disregarding US national interests and aligning closely with Israel, saying such actions and what he called arrogant behavior would push the United States deeper into the “quagmire of war.”
