Iran and the United States have made “some progress” on several issues during ongoing negotiations, according to a source familiar with the Iranian negotiating team, as cited by Tasnim.

The source said that a Pakistani mediator continues to play a central role by facilitating the exchange of proposals between the two sides.

At this stage, discussions are focused primarily on ending the war. Other topics will not be addressed until that issue is resolved. The source emphasised that reaching a final agreement will not be possible unless all disputed issues are settled.

“Compared to the past, some progress has been made on certain issues, but until all disputed matters are finalised, an agreement will not be reached,” the source said, adding that draft texts are still under discussion and have not yet been completed.
