A senior Iranian cleric has warned that Tehran’s adversaries would face fresh missile strikes and a broader regional conflict if they launched attacks against Iran.
Speaking during Friday prayers in Tehran, Mohammad Javad Haj Ali-Akbari said Iran’s armed forces were “more prepared than ever”, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iran International.
He threatened disruption to shipping through the Bab el-Mandab Strait should the Strait of Hormuz come under attack.
The cleric also warned that any strikes on Iran’s infrastructure would provoke retaliation against the “enemy’s supporters” across the region.
