Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has emphasized the importance of agreements signed with Azerbaijan in the energy sector following his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.


He made the remarks on social media, highlighting the strategic significance of the deals reached between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports via local media.


“A very important agreement was signed with Azerbaijan both in the field of electricity imports and transit,” Kobakhidze noted.


He also pointed to the importance of an agreement related to the Baku–Tbilisi–Supsa oil pipeline.


“An important agreement is the one related to the Baku–Tbilisi–Supsa oil pipeline, under which the country will receive tens of millions of dollars annually in transit revenues,” he added.
