Russia remains committed to achieving sustainable urban development goals and is continuing to roll out large-scale housing construction initiatives, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Nikita Stasishin said.


Speaking at a ministry roundtable held within WUF13 in Baku, he noted that the construction industry is one of the key drivers of the country's economic development, Caliber.Az reports per local media.


"New residential neighborhoods and social structures are being built across the country, utilities are being modernized, and public spaces are being developed," he said.


The representative of the Russian delegation noted that Russia is implementing large-scale national projects related to creating livable infrastructure.


"Over the past five years, we have built approximately 650 million square meters of housing," he emphasized.
