The joint opening session of assemblies was held within the framework of the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13), according to local media.

The session was moderated by Aditya Kumar, advisor and senior expert on stakeholder engagement at the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), and was dedicated to the theme “How can shared priorities be turned into momentum for collective action?”

The event combined storytelling, high-level dialogue, and interactive participation to identify shared priorities and encourage initial commitments.

In a period marked by growing housing challenges, climate pressures, and deepening inequalities, the opening session went beyond a formal ceremony, activating participants as direct contributors to the forum’s final outcomes.
