The United States is continuing to expand its military presence in Poland through ongoing troop rotations and redeployments across Europe.
As reported by the head of Poland’s National Security Bureau Bartosz Grodecki, units of the 1st Cavalry Division are being transferred from Fort Hood, according to TASS.
He stated that more than 20% of the planned contingent and around 70% of military equipment have already arrived in Poland. Grodecki noted that the total number of US troops stationed in the country fluctuates around 10,000, reflecting regular rotations of American forces in Europe.
He also said that the United States plans to withdraw the 2nd Cavalry Regiment from Vilseck and is considering redeploying it to Poland.
US forces are currently present in Poland under various NATO-related operations, with the latest movements seen as part of broader adjustments to force posture in Europe.
