In connection with the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13) taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev International Airport will operate under an enhanced operational regime from 15 to 25 May.

Given the expected rise in international delegations and passenger arrivals for the forum, additional coordination measures have been introduced across airport operations, passenger handling, and security procedures, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

These steps are aimed at ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient movement for participants while maintaining high service standards.

During WUF13, the airport has been incorporated into a dedicated transport network designed to provide convenient connectivity between the airport, major transport hubs, accommodation areas, and the event venue.

As part of this arrangement, WUF13 Airport Shuttle Buses have been running since 12 May and will continue operating 24 hours a day through 24 May, providing continuous transport services for participants across the city. On 25 May, operations will continue until 18:00.

Passengers will be able to use designated shuttle routes along the following directions:

Meanwhile, the Airport Express (H1 line) continues its regular 24/7 service, connecting the 28 May and Koroghlu metro stations with Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Due to increased passenger traffic, travelers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2–3 hours before departure. The use of online check-in in advance is also recommended to ensure a smoother travel process.

Heydar Aliyev International Airport says it will continue working to maintain operational stability, high service quality, and a safe travel experience for WUF13 participants as well as all other passengers.
