A Slovak delegation paid a visit to Azerbaijan’s liberated territories to observe ongoing reconstruction work in the region.

Headed by Richard Raši, Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, the delegation first toured Fuzuli International Airport, a key air gateway along the Victory Road, and reviewed redevelopment efforts in the city of Fuzuli, including various completed and ongoing projects, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

During their trip to Shusha, the visitors inspected several historical and cultural sites.

Their itinerary included stops at the Jidir Duzu and the Ashaghi Govhar Agha Mosque.

The Slovak delegation later travelled to Khankandi, where they were informed about large-scale construction, restoration, and redevelopment initiatives, as well as the Victory Park project.

They also visited Garabagh University in Khankandi, where they were introduced to its modern academic infrastructure and learning environment.

Rector Shahin Bayramov noted during the meeting that the university has strong potential to train highly qualified specialists who can contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.

As part of the program, Slovak parliamentarians additionally visited the village of Bash Garvand in the Aghdam district to review projects implemented with Slovak participation.
