Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili has outlined conditions for the normalisation of relations with Ukraine, stressing that future progress depends on what she described as a “fair and respectful” approach toward Georgia.

Speaking after a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Chisinau, Botchorishvili said Ukraine’s continued willingness to maintain dialogue was a positive development, but emphasised that the broader tone of bilateral relations would be decisive, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media

“The efforts we are seeing from the Ukrainian side to continue the dialogue are positive. Time will tell what the attitude towards Georgia will be; this is crucial for us. The attitude towards Georgia, the Georgian people and the Georgian state must be fair and based on respect; otherwise, the normalisation of any relations is impossible,” she said.
