UK Defence Secretary John Healey has ordered the acceleration of air defence deliveries to Ukraine following a series of recent Russian attacks.
Healey made the announcement in a post on the social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.
He described the Russian drone strikes carried out over the past 24 hours as “shocking,” underscoring the urgency of strengthening Ukraine’s air defence capabilities in response to ongoing hostilities.
“Shocking Russian drone attacks on Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
I’ve directed for UK deliveries of air defence and counter-drone systems to be accelerated as fast as possible.
We stand with Ukraine in the face of Putin’s aggression. Our thoughts are with Ukrainian families,” the post by Healey noted.
