Kazakhstan and Türkiye are set to adopt a Declaration on Eternal Friendship and Expanded Strategic Partnership, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, signalling a further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Speaking at the 6th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Astana, Tokayev said the planned declaration would “give a new impetus” to cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, which he described as developing in the spirit of an expanded strategic partnership, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.

He said the two countries share common aspirations and see significant potential for deeper collaboration across political and economic areas.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Astana on May 13 for a state visit, underscoring ongoing high-level engagement between the two governments.
